I was just mucking abouton google sky and found somethng that looked really weird. It's probably a freak of photography or the result of having to paste all the images together to make the panorama, but I'm still curious if it could be somethng ... real.

So would you please got to google sky and navigate your way to 8h 16, 45.0s - 50 degrees 47" 56.4" and tell me what that is? (You'll know...)

Thanks!

  1. I have no idea how to do it, and in my 24' inch monitor I'm sure it would look awesome....

  2. Hey i looked at it   but all i see is where the sky turned red. .. should i zoom out?

Ok yeahhh~ saw it~ it looks like a glare or mistake from the lens not sure.

  3. That's very strange.

My first impression was that it was an photographic artifact (like when you point a camera lens toward a bright light), but that's obviously not what they are.

It's definitely nothing real, but it looks like a set of intergalactic stop lights. Either that, or they're getting to the end of the big roll of scotch tape that holds the sky up...   ;-)
