Just curious as to Google's initial trading price.

  1. You mean as when it first go on the stock market? As in IPO?

    It show $85. I think at the close of the day it was still below $80.


  2. it was supposed to come public at ~115, but after a snafu in a playboy article the day before it officially priced, they dropped it to 85 so enough people would buy that they wouldn't have to push back the offering and re-file with the SEC.

  3. If you were a client at the firm you could have bought it at $90 but if you werent everbody else started off at $100. The reason everybody started off at $100 is because the firm let investors bid up the price.
