Goonsosure sure about the Stadium Bookmakers Sprint Trophy – Heat 2 at Nottingham

Nottingham will host the second heat of the Stadium Bookmakers Sprint Trophy on 21st May over 305 metres flat. Competing in the £125 event are Goonsosure, Clomantagh Rock, Related Star, Drumna Bell, Elite Bolt and Ballymac Mozart.
Goonsosure, Royal Impact’s three-year-old black son out of b***h, Ideal Lace, has the highest of chances of being the most prominent contender in the race tonight.
He was declared not raced in his seasonal debut on 7th January in the Williamhill.Com Sprint Stakes at Newcastle over 290 metres. Lampard won the race after settling the track distance in 17.47 seconds.
He led the runner up of the race, Salisman, by just half a length and he timed the distance in 17.51 seconds.
The 4/5 favourite of the race, Tictac Diamond, finished fourth behind the winner.
The three-year-old was then drilled over 261 metres at Sunderland on 17th February. He raced through the distance in 15.72 seconds.
He participated in the William Hill Sprint right after the training session and scored second after completing the trip in 15.73 seconds. The 6/4 favourite winner of the race led by a head’s difference and clocked the distance in 15.72 seconds.
After ending sixth in the very next race, Goonsosure was trained over 261 metres on 31st March at Sunderland and he accomplished the task in 15.83 seconds.
Once again the three-year-old met the similar fate after getting drilled. He qualified as the evening’s favourite runner up in the William Hill Sprint on 7th April at Sunderland. It took him 15.72 seconds to complete the trip.
A third training session followed that was at Pelaw Grange this time over 245 metres on 28th April. He got done in 14.83 seconds.
Finally he did claim a race, Goososure won the Greyhoundscene Sprint on 5th May at Sunderland over 261 metres and reached the other end of the wire in 15.61 seconds. He led the runner up of the race, Devastator, by 1 ¼ lengths.
The very last race that he took part in resulted in a second position. He has been trained very frequently and he does have the potential of capturing the race tonight.
