Question:

Gordon Brown and his Government are asking what 'Bristishness' is - if they don't know shouldn't they go?

Gordon Brown is obviously not British, he doesn't understand what it is to be British, he is commissioning people (using our money) to find out for him.

And then he is going to turn around and try to preach back to us what it is.

Preach back to us who already know and don't need to be told.

Lords, MPs and others (particularly lefties and liberals) seem obsessed with 'Britishness' and it seems to me that this is because they are no longer part of it - they stopped being Brittish when they started trying to change the public rather than support them - multi culturalism, social engineering and other mad experiments have isolated them from the public and made them 'un Brittish'.

Surely this admission by Brown means he has to go.

  1. I don't think there is any such thing as 'Britishness'. The Scots are proud to by Scots and the Welsh are proud to be Welsh. When people in England say they are proud to be British, what they really mean is they are proud to be English, which they see (incorrectly) as synonymous.

So be proud of your own country, not an artificial construct that dates back a few hundred years.

  2. nuke the lard ar5ed git and bring back maggie thatcher

  3. Once he has found the source of "Britishness" I am sure he will find a way to tax it, so yes he must go

  4. A notion of Britishness is that the citizen is free to live free from the interferance of the State. Yeh, I know that's NOT New Labour, but that's a fact. And you don't need to spend £1million of British tax payers money to find out!

    No to ID Cards.

  5. "Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel."

    - Samuel Johnson, 1775

  6. This government want the British people to find an outlet for patriotism by expressing what there is to be patriotic about before it is completely suppressed by the scheming EU fanatics. Gordon Brown thinks it is a continuation of the therapy that the British people have been going through for the last ten years in preparation for total submission to the monster that EU will become if the Irish don't vote NO!

  7. Yes! If you need to be told you will never understand anyway.

In my lifetime i have been expected to believe in the following 9not in any Order)

    1. The British Empire

    2. The UN

    3. The British Commonwealth

    4. NATO

    5. The EC (EEC) or whatever they call it now

    6. Brutishness

The first five have proved to be an illusion.  The sixth shows that the lying government are trying to create another one and that they are not British otherwise they would know that Oaths of allegiance are not a British thing and will never ever be taken seriously by the White Anglo Saxon, Scots or Welsh. We one thing amongst others in common and that is the ability to give two fingers to authority when they have got too big for their boots

  8. need to vote them all out, Labour have always sucked in my opinion they let the country go down the toilet in the past 15 years

  9. Britishness is the art of denigrating the English whilst picking their pockets.

Britishness is a common trait throughout the world.

  10. until you have defended a country your not part of it, and that takes care of most of the MPs

  11. Totally Agree

  12. Well I obviously don't know what British is. I thought being British meant that people would take to the streets in great numbers at the betrayal and treason of New Labour to the EU and a traitor Queen who signs all the treaties. I thought the British would never allow themselves to be slaves to the dictatorship of Europe. I was wrong - this country no longer has any spirit.

You are right New Labour takes Britishness away then asks the question "what is Britishness". Blair with his comment "this is a young country" sums their attitude up, they want to destroy our history and our traditions and then wonder why we are now rootless as a country with an identity. I despise them. They make me puke

  13. I reject the notion of Britishness, I am indigenous English. Any of the millions allowed in and granted a British passport can be 'British', it doesn't mean anything to me. This is another attempt to revive failed multiculturalism and impose it (again) on an unsuspecting and mostly unquestioning populous. Scottish, Irish and Welsh nationalism is accepted, but not English. That fat Scottish traitor should retreat North of the border and stay there. B-liar sold us out to Europe for the chance of an EU Presidency job, now Brown is finishing what he started.

  14. Its all because they have realised theirs, and other Governments, mistakes of letting too many immigrants into the Country; and now want Britain to be how it was before all the immigrants came.

If the truth is known they want the Country to go back to people respecting people, and their property, and laws as they were back before the Enoch Powell days. The Government of the time should have listened to him.

I agree that we should  get back our true Britishness. If people who migrate to this country want to come here they should learn our ways of doing things, if they want to follow the way that their country does things, and the way they lived in their home country then don't let them emigrate to Britain. If they get here and don't abide by our rules, Deport them.

Just remember the old adage," When in Rome, do as the Romans do".

Britain has got to get tough. If they want to stay then they should do it our way.

I am not racist, nor BNP, but I am truly British.

  15. They're starting to worry about the BNP

  16. All sounds like a lot of backtracking to me having realised what a gaff they've made in dumbing down national pride over the last ten years.

    Ferrari Babe - spot on.

  17. Yes, he should be gone - now.

  18. It means supporting the edicts of the Government whatever they do because that must be right.

    Like signing the 'Lisbon Treaty'

    RoyS

  19. the longer I live in this  country of ours the more it's like living inside a  Beano comic

  20. One one hand they want us to be British,  on the other hand they keep cancelling and changing our British cultures because it upsets the non British and non Christians.

Make your mind up you stupid fool of a PM.
