  1. People should understand that politicians are all in the pockets of big business and the new Labour socialists are among the worst. Scrounging Blair who never misses a free lunch  and I am sure Brown has his snout in the trough somewhere. All those who voted for these rogues should be ashamed they were taken so easily.

  2. Its the upside down pyramid ,a few at the bottom producing products and necessary services that the country needs and resting on top of them are a mountain of bureaucrats pen pushers consultants and bullshit artists that have to be paid for by the few at the bottom.Unfortunately the bottom few can no longer support the weight of the useless c**p that is growing at an exponential rate and the whole system is about to collapse

  3. The Government rips us off to,

50p of a litre of fuel goes to the Government in Tax,

Our prices are the highest in Europe because of the Tax the British Government puts on Fuel

And they put VAT on Engery Bills, ( all this as nothing to do with the Credit Crunch )

  4. the 75% is only the tax at the pump, the govt rips you me and all the rest of us off to the tune of approf 350% tax on your fuel from the source when it is extracted from the north sea untill it is in your tank , westminster rakes in approx 91billion in tax fron the north sea annually . Yes Brown is letting utility companies rip us off just see what happens when he gets the bums rush at the next election , a massive salaried job from one of them and expenses you would never imagine , JOIN  the gravy train PARASITE that he is

  5. Yes, Brown and his Government have failed to invest sufficiency in our energy companies and as a result we have to buy in expensive gas from Europe or Russia. If the Government were really concerned one might think they'd a) forfeit the tax on energy, especially for the elderly, and b) also reduce tax and VAT on petrol. The fact h**l would freeze over before they gave up this revenue show prove to anyone in any doubt how little they care about our struggling to meet excessive price increases.

  6. Yes, because it is in the Governments interest to keep prices high, asd they receive Tax windfalls from the Utility companies, and they have their snouts in the trough at meetings with them. Also, after they finish their political career, they very often find a lucrative little number with some of the large Blue Chip companies as a "thankyou" for letting them rip off the public.

Brown and Blair, the two men who sold the UK down the river for their own personal gains.

  7. Rip off gas equals RIP OFF VAT

Do you really think that Brown, Darling, MillibLand or that other champagne socialist, David Cameron actually give a sh**? They're okay. They've just got a massive rise in STEALTH TAX for the summer, care of their criminal friends in Russia and the Middle East.

  8. The f**** is on holiday, not even stepping in (which he never does anyway) and overcharges the nation and businesses, so who do they overcharge - you guessed it, us.  Labour are a complete mess.

  9. Agreed. In terms of Gas its a storage problem. We get the gas cant store it so we sell it to Gemany who then sell it back to us at a higher price during winter when we need it.

The thing is the goverment cant do much. Its hard to catch out a collusive oligopoly. The most they can do now is privitise them again but heaven forbid we behave like communists....besides we've all seen what the goverment thinks in terms of creating revenue for themselves.
