Gordon Brown`s latest tax wheeze....is he really....?

So now he is about to hit the gas-guzzler drivers hard.

Will it never end? Is he really trying to save the planet, or is it an excuse to squeeze the taxpayers yet harder til the pips squeak?

Knee jerk reactions. . . . .people are never going to give up their vehicles, polluting factories , like in China, that is where the need to start first!

Its the later - a way to increase tax in a simple way - but with the benefit of looking green - plus it helps to make other taxes such as income tax look lower (now only 20% of income - but nic ee's, er's vat etc etc still affect what we have left at the end of the day.

Brown was a tax and spend in the good times - should have been tax and save - and would now have more options to lower tax and increase spending to help our economy - unfortunately he's low on cash like us.
