Gordon Ramsay's restaurant on Royal Hospital Rd?

I just found out that the hotel we will be staying at on our vacation is 3 miles from this restaurant. Is it worth the time/money. It has received three Michelin stars for some time now, so I'm thinking about going. Plus, is the area surrounding the restaurant nice? I have to make up my mind fast, I hear one needs to make reservations 2 months in advance!!

I've never been able to get in but have heard only good things from anyone who has been. You will need to book well inadvance - not sure if the book opens 1 month or 2 months in advance - but you will need to call the minute the liene opens and keep trying - exactly one(or two) month in advance or you won;t get in! Good luck - which are is the hotel in?

Chez Bruce on wandsworth common is a fantastic restaurant and a top place - recently topping various lists - ahead of Ramsay's.
