Gordon is sending 230 more troops to Afhanistan?

What do you think about this? Surely 230 is not remotely enough so is it a case of more soldiers sent to die? What is Gordon up to?

Gordon is trying to bring stability to Afghanistan, British troops are trying to stop a vicious group of religious freaks from imposing there there beliefs on the people of Afghanistan

He did this to try to ingratiate himself with Bush, IMO.

It disgusts me that he wants to continue with this pointless, futile conflict.

He is getting more useless every day, but dangerously so.

He will do anything to try to make his mark as Prime Minister, no matter how bad it is for the country, and its people (including the soldiers whose lives he's playing with.)

It is easy enough for this political cretin Gordon Brown to fight in Afghanistan!Why?None of his kith and kin are on the front line!When the political process has failed!The military have to step in!The question I ask is!Who has been a bigger political failure than Gordon Brown?!To answer the question!No!Get the French and Germans to send more fighting men!But!They do not allow their troops out after dark!

seems good to me. hardly a day goes in the UK without the papers telling us some poor sod has been murdered.

so send out the folk who want to kill abroad  so i feel safe walking down the street.

you wanna kill join the army go aboard and do it just so no teens (about 13 so far this year) are getting murdered on the streets.

join the army you psycho you get to satisfy your blood lust and nobody innocent dies.

The previous incursions into Afghanistan were to pacify and/or conquer.  NATO is there to liberate, and for once, the Afghan people are on our side.  

You'd be surprised what a handfull of well-trained and well-equiped soldiers can do.
