  1. It's something to shoot for, isn't it? The sooner the better.

In cities with a decent infastructure, yes. We've got the technology to make it happen. There are electric and hybrid cars on the market. General Motors is coming out with the all electric Volt in 2010. Widely available and efficient public transportation would help a lot. I read about getting oil from algae that eat garbage! It is possible. It's just a matter of getting the money and marketing so people hear about and can afford this stuff. We need to think of it as a matter of national and global survival.

Now on a rural/ agricultural/ transportation scale, I think it's gonna to be a lot more difficult to convert all the trucks, tractors, and trains to electric or biodeisel or whatever. It's one thing to trade in your family car for electric, it's another entirely for a farmer to convert a giant harvester to electric.

  2. No. I wouldn't want to anyway. Gas is a great multitasker.

  3. No it isn't.

  4. No, but it would be nice if we could, my gas dropped 6 cents today! Hooray
