Gorgeous Amigo expected to win Owners’ Bonus Series (Heat 1)
Gorgeous Amigo is expected to deliver a gorgeous performance and finish first in the Owners’ Bonus Series – Heat 1 that will be held at Nottingham racecourse on Friday night, June 8. The Grade A2 contest is set to start at 20:22 (GMT).
To cover the distance of 500 metres, the L. Cook-trained white and black dog will run against Bodell Gift, Cherry Bomb, Galmac, Fabulous Lotte and Tynwald Nero. A prize cheque worth £124 will be distributed among these hounds at the end of the race.
Gorgeous Amigo finished 6th each in his last three starts. This is the worst lean patch. Considering this thing, he must not be a favourite contender for today’s Heat title.
But the bookmakers are going to rely on him again. This is also justified as the three-year-old veteran dog made some marvellous marks during the last two months.
From April 30 to May 11, the dashing dog elegantly won three big races in a row. This was the evidence of his inherent racing skills.
During 2011, the talented son of Premier Fantasy out of Gorgeous Ruby achieved a number of glorious feats. As a whole, he possesses a gorgeous track record.
If Gorgeous Amigo manages to perk up his stamina tonight, he will definitely have up to 90 percent chances to finish first.
However, each one of Cherry Bomb and Fabulous Lotte can impede him in the race.
Cherry Bomb nicely bagged a couple of consecutive triumphs in February 2012. The P. Harnden-trained black dog moved on to win a race on March 26. The experienced hound fantastically finished first by the big margin of 5 ¼ lengths on May 14. He too owns a
decent track record.
On the other hand, Fabulous Lotte performed fabulously during the last month and won two races in a row. The D. Firmager-trained black b***h finished 3rd in her second last outing on May 21.
In this situation, there will be a rip-roaring and neck-to-neck competition. Let us enjoy the thrilling action and see who manages to turn the tables. Good luck to all the six hounds.
