  1. you mean Ghurkas of the British and Indian army's and Jats who are are Sikh warriors

Ghurkas any day ...they are the hardest soldiers in the world they have hundreds of  medals of bravery in most wars

British soldiers during the Raj where sent to sort them out , but was stopped by only a handful of Ghurkas

they where so impressed  they were asked to join the British army lol

    and the rest is history

dont really know much about Jats but there tough cookies  too

    .

  2. Gurkha, also spelled as Gorkha, are people from Nepal , who take their name from the eighth century Hindu warrior-saint Guru Gorakhnath

n the Gurkha War (1814–1816) they waged war against the British East India Company army. The British were impressed by the Gurkha soldiers and after reaching a stalemate with the Gurkhas made Nepal a protectorate.

Much later, they were granted the right to freely hire them as mercenaries from the interiors of Nepal (as opposed to the early British Gurkha mercenaries who were hired from areas such as Assam (ie. Sirmoor Rifles) and were then organised in Gurkha regiments in the East India Company army with the permission of then prime minister,

these people part of the British army they where renown as the greatest jungle fighters in WW2 American and Allied troops would tell stories about Gurkha  troops

Infiltrating our camps and feeling around their necks collars for insignia

and if they found out you were Japanese they would slit the throat of every other whilst they were asleep apparently would demoralise the enemy

everyone that came upon them were glad they were on our side

and i believe that when Bruni declared Independence from Malaysia they asked the british to supply a regiment of Gurkha to defend their country and the british did

  3. I have not heard of a fighter called either a Gorkhas or a Jat.

The Spitfire was generally considered the best British fighter during the Battle of Britain!

You asked about fighters, fighters are warplanes, not people.

Gorkhas are what the post independance Indian Army called their Ghurka soldiers, Gorkhas are part of the post-British era.

Jat's are the inhabitants of North-West India, including what is now Pakistan, to suggest that they are simply fighters, good, bad or indifferent is fundamentally insulting.
