Gossip Girl Books Vs. TV Series?

OK so i watched all of season 1, and i decided to read the books, and i think there like really really different.

first off i think on TV they make Vanessa's character like waaaaay more normal

then there's Erick who is like my favorite character on the TV show and in the book he's straight, like 19, and he's not even in NY =(((((( although i guess thats kinda my fault that makes me mad cause i watched the show 1st

so anything between the 2 that really bothers you? whats your fav character in the book? and on the show?

Well I in the book and on the TV show Serena will always be my favorite no matter what. But I think they made Blair more of a ********* in the book then in the show. One thing that did bother me is that Vanessa is so different in the book then on the TV show. Jenny seems pretty much the same in the movie and in the TV show. But I defiantly agree that the TV show and the book are so different. I sometimes prefer the books more then the show because it's more interesting and there are no commercials lol.
