People don't hate Blair or even Chuck for that matter. You have just watched the first episode as you watch more episodes you will realise that blair can be kind and is a great friend to serena.By the end of season one they show that chuck is nice to serena and nate. For some reason I hate Jenny in the show she is kinda annoying.

simply put, blair likes to cause trouble so everyone hates her

everyone loves serena, dan, jenny, and nate--they're generally nice

ppl kinda dont really like blair & chuck because they cause trouble
