Got 3 points on my licence, not the policy holder. must i tell the policy holer or can i just tell the insurer

just got the nip like 3days ago, going to send back soon, exceeded 70mph 86mph..im guessing 3points and £60....Can i call insurance and pay via my own debit. will they inform my mother once i tell them? ( we just renewed)

  1. the insurance company will find out by themselves and tack on money because you are "at more of a risk" now.


  2. You have to tell the insurance, but they might find out on their own.  You don't have to tell the holder, but when your rate increases, the ins. will inform the holder why.  Afraid to tell the parents about your speeding tickets?

  3. the insurance company will find out soon. you should let the policy holder know so that they are aware because this means you are a greater risk, and the insurance is going to get a little higher. and if you are a responsable person you will offer to pay the difference
