I have a PS3 hooked up to a Denon 1908 recvr by HDMI and then HDMI to Mitsubishi 73 inch (73727). I only get audio and no video. When I hook it directly to the TV - I get nothing. Any suggestions to correct? Does that mean my TV is not compatible with PS3?

  1. 1.  Connect your PS3 HDMI output to Denon's HDMI input. Then Denon's HDMI output to the TV.  Turn TV on and set it to HDMI input.

    2. Set you Denon HDMI input appropriately, since I believe it's assignable via settings.  Refer to your revceiver manual to do this.

    3. Reset your PS3 by turn it off completely with the red light on.  Then hold the I/O button for 10 seconds for it to automatically.

You should able to see the PS3 screen asking to switch to 1080p.  By the way question for you, is your TV capable of 1080p?

  2. just make sure every thing is plugged in right.

  3. I had the same problem with my PSP,it's in the cable, you've got to buy another cable(or another tv),a cable that supports your "denon"

  4. You need to go into the onscreen menu and setup the player to output via HDMI, right now it is probably set up for composite.  So plug in a yellow composite video cable to the TV, you'll get the onscreen guide, then go to setup and video, set the video out to HDMI and you'll get the picture.
