Got a 2005 dodge diesel truck. the positive post came off.will turn over but not start. relays and fuses good.

the truck will turn over. you dont hear the fuel pump come on.

The fuel pump only comes on for a few seconds to build pressure then off and if pressure it won't come on again>Open the drain on the fuel filter turn key on it pump works it will free flow out the drain hose On to the ground>Turn the key on off 3 times leaving on not start see if a code shows below the odometer>Disconnect both battery pos cables for a couple on of minutes connect and try starting> If you have extended warranty those have 7yrs 70,000 warranty>
