Hi friends,

I got a job at Brookfield, Wisconsin, at Brookfield lake corporate center. How is the transit system there? Do I need a car urgently. One of my friends told me the transit system is bad and need a car for living. I just wonder is it true? I sthere bus services every 30 min?

  1. You'll need a car if you want to have a life.

  2. there is a Milwaukee County Bus that goes to Brookfield Square Mall but turns around and heads back to Milwaukee. Your gonna need a car for anything past Brookfield Square Mall

  3. Its true, you definetly need a car.

  4. The area is car-oriented suburban, but there are viable bus services depending on where you want to go. Waukesha County has buses, the #1 and #901, that serve the Brookfield Lakes Corporate Center:

Here are the schedules, the #1 does seem to come about every 30 min on weekdays:

If you're from Milwaukee County, there is a bus #10 that takes you to Brookfield, but not directly to the corporate center (about 1 mile to the east):

  5. Brookfield does not have a main transit system.  Brookfield only has flier transit systems that travel to Waukesha and Milwaukee.  There is no transist system for travelling around Brookfield.  You need a car to live in Brookfield.
