Got a letter about my stimulus check and ???

it said my check would be sent out on June 13th. However, my question is that ...I filed an ammended return and it was recieved and put into the sytem on April 3rd. It has not been processed yet. My letter came this past week stating it would be sent on date of our last 2 of ssn#. I checked the web just to see and it says " there has been a delay in processing your return". I want to know which to go by and how long does it take to process a ammended return? Will my stimulus check go out the same time my return or after?

I know its alot of questions but any input on this will help. I live in a high crime area and have to keep constant watch on my mail box. Not a good feeling not really knowing.....THANKS!

I have the same problem as you. I received my letter saturday but on the back of the letter it states that my stimulus payment has been delayed for review.  So check the back of your letter. It probably states the same thing. I called the irs hotline and it takes them up to 12 weeks to do amended returns. You won't receive your stimulus check until after you have received your amended return.

Can't send your stimulus check till your amended return is entered into the system.  Since the amount of the stimulus check is based on earnings and amount of Federal tax paid.

When will they get to it, probably within 4 weeks.

An amended return takes 8-12 weeks from the time of mailing to process.

The letter you got was a form letter they sent to all the people with that range of the last 2 ss#s. Go by what the irs website says. If they haven't processed your ammended return yet, they more than likely aren't gonna send you a stimulus check yet!

it said that for my return also b/c i filed an injured spouse claim form so my refund was delayed also,i've gotten my refund since and the website is still saying it's been delayed.

i got my rebate on the 11th of june but it was scheduled for the 13th also.i'd just be checking the mail since i got the letter anway,you may get it on tomorrow or sometime in the week.
