Got a mental health question.

ok, so here's the deal. my family, mom and dads, both have a large history of mental health problems. and I am starting to show symptoms od phychosis. I want to know where I can go to have basically every test available for mental health taken. I live in Langley, bc, canada. I want a building. like a place.

  1. I don't live in or know of any specific locations in BC.  

    That being said, if you think you're starting to exhibit thoughts and behaviors, you should start with a psychiatrist.  A psychiatrist will evaluate you and determine the most effective way to proceed based upon your symptoms and your family history of mental illness.  

    It would be all but impossible for you to take all tests.  I have never heard of someone taking every single one.  There are too many and most of them wouldn't even be helpful in making a diagnosis.  A psychiatrist can make a determination of which test(s) would be appropriate for you, and then you can go from there.

    Starting to experience symptoms is scary, but you're on the right track knowing you need help.  I wish you all the best.
