Got a mouse?

Question

we live in a sixplex and we have a mouse. Not as a pet. lol been around for a long time now (or probably not the same one, but whatever). my mother wants to put poison out but i think its cruel and keep fighting her on it. I know about the humane traps, but really, we'd never be able to take it somewhere to let it go. (long story, just trust me).

After about a year of this argument, should I just give in? Im tired of her hounding me about it and quite frankly, am tired of hearing his scurrying at night and finding mouse droppings and having to clean them up. *sigh*

I heard that with poisons, they go into the walls to die and then you have a rotting problem (which is another reason why i object).

go yo a hardware store & buy an a;tra sonic plug-in.

the high pitch noise  can omly be heard  by animals.& this

will drive it away

plain and simple, get a mouse trap NOW.  Use peanut butter, and (since you sound sqeemish) when you catch the little guy, throw the whole thing away.  Mice will gnaw at your wiring.  They will crawl around your house and make a nest behind your dresser.  They will climb into your jacket pocket and use it as a restroom or nest area.  They crawl around on the counter in the same area you make your food on.  AND, if they can get to it, they will crawl into you cereal box and eat it.  When they eat some, they will also leave you a surprise...  Put aside your sensitivities and realize that this is a vermin species, they carry parasites, bacteria, fleas, and they are filthy.   Avoid poisons as mice/rats do tend to die in the wall/ceiling and do stink.  I agree, mice have their place... just not inside your living area.

Your best bet is to use a traditional spring loaded mouse trap.

These traps are available at any grocery, walmart, or homeimprovement store. A spring trap is quick and easy and humane. When bait is placed on the trigger, (peanut butter works great) the mouse places his head there to eat it. Upon eating the bait the trigger is moved and the spring loaded trap swiftly snaps over the mouses head/neck, thereby killing it instantly and painlessly. You can easily dispose of the entire mouse and trap or --if youre brave and frugal you can release the mouse into the garbage and reuse the trap.  This trap is clean, humane, and highly effective. It is always best to remove wild rodents from your home as they may carry flea's that cause bubonic plague and a host of other diseases- plus mouse terds are never too appealing.

I have never had a sonic repeller work, many "sonic" units can still be heard my people with good high pitch hearing--i.e. those under thirty.
