I'm sure someone else has had a pet bunny before somewhere and I don't quite know how to take care of one. I have 2 cats as well and I'm gonna wait a while before I introduce them all. So on the subject of taking care of a bunny. I have it in one room the office I'm in right now, its roaming around and I took all dangerous chewable objects away. I got it something called Carefresh Pet Bedding in which I suppose it uses as a litter, this is why I'm asking. But I don't know if this is safe, I have some newspaper in its cage that it seems to chew on and it also wants to eat the pet bedding but I haven't let it yet because I don't know if that is right. It has food and water in its cage (plenty). Any tips on what it's doing and how to take better care of it?

  1. first of all he/she is not an it.

  2. I say replace the bedding with Timothy hay. Rabbits are supposed to eat alot of it anyway, so if the bun bun gets hungry and wants to nibble, He can eat that. Of course, you still have to give it the regular food.

I love the name Boofy. It can go for any gender. To find your bunnies gender go to http://www.debmark.com/rabbits/sexing.ht... It helped me find my bunnies gender. I know it helped me.

Have fun. I have two bunnys myself, and they are polar opposites.

  3. It's not dangerous for the rabbit to eat the bedding. Rabbits know what it safe and what isnt safe for them to eat. If a rabbit comes across a poisonous plant then they wont eat it. You should put some hay in your rabbits cage bcse they like to eat that and they can also make it into a bed. Change the water everyday and give your rabbit gnawing sticks for it to chew on to grind its teeth down.

    Good luck xx

  4. It isnt dangerous eating the bedding. But you should try and put some hay in there aswell. They can eat that to:).
