Got a positive HPT today, however had a pregnyl shot a week ago. Is the positive a result of the shot?

This is my first ever positive result however i fear that it is just because i had a trigger of pregnyl a week ago. i am right to have this fear?

Yes, you very well may have tested too early - the pregnyl is an hcg shot . . . the exact hormone being tested for on the home pregnancy test.

It is best to wait until you have missed your period or a MINIMUM of 2 weeks after the trigger shot to test again.

No Pregnancy shot's or hormone pills will give you a positive reading on a pregnancy test.My doctor told me so.And if you were already pregnant before your shot the shot will not harm your unborn child,no matter what you have been told.You are definitely pregnant.

how many iu of pregnyl did you have

1000iu of pregnyl will eliminate usually daily

so if you had a 5000iu shot or less it should be gone by now\

It would be getting out of your system by now, dunno if it would be enough to cause a positive. Takes about 3-7 days to get out of your system.
