Got a seat belt ticket in nyc need advice?

i was getting on verazanno bridge whe nthe bridges and tunnels police officer standing outside motioned me to pull over i did so he walked over and told me i was going about ten miles over speed limit ( which i dont think i was ) ( i had a adult passenger i nthe front seat and 2 adults i nthe back seat and one 14 year old in the middle seat in the back between the 2 adults) so he gave me a seat belt ticket for child under 16 not wearing his seat belt any suggestions on how i can fight this ? ( by the way it was a checkpoint and he was pulling one car after another car over)

  1. You broke the law and got a ticket. I don't think you can fight it.


  2. I seriously doubt that you have much recourse.  Just pay the ticket and buckle up.  Sorry.

  3. the driver is responsible for everyone in the car. pay the ticket, learn from it.

  4. Don't bother trying.  You probably won't win.  Just pay it and get it out of the house.  Every time you look at it, your blood presssure probably goes up, and as I said I don't think you will win anyway.

  5. You wont be able to fight this much less win this one at all.

  6. You are better off paing the ticket, because it will not give you any points on your license, where as if the officer would have given you a speeding ticket it would of been twice the cost, plus 3 points on your license

  7. You are lucky you only got a no seat belt ticket.........

    just pay it off...
