So I drove up the street parked the car. Walked into the house, and then after a few minutes, there was a knock at the door. The police said that whoever was driving the car had to come out or else a ticket would show up in the mail. Is it possible to fight this? Is the ticket valid?

  1. Where you speeding? If so it's legal but I do feel the cop had it out for you a little bit, what did you do knock up his daughter or something?

  2. You can always fight a ticket.  But winning is another matter.  In this case, how did the cop determine that someone was speeding in your car?  Radar? Clocking by following?  It may be up to you to either show that someone else was diving your car, or that you were, but were not speeding.  The ticket simply states that the officer charges you with the violation, and that you are therefore summoned to pay, appear in court, or whatever it says, in response to the charge.  Valid, who knows?  Legal, yes.

  3. yep. they can mail them to you too..

  4. If the police have evidence that you were speeding, then it's valid. It can be fought, but most likely you would lose.

  5. But you WERE speeding, weren't you??????

Reading your question, there was more than one police person.

    Cop it sweet.
