No pus or any liquid-milky white like a thick scab that just keeps pealing in layers??

  1. Yes. This happened to me with my tattoo on my wrist. I had to use some antibiotic ointment and put a band aid on it until it healed proper. I did have to have it touched up, but it healed proper and that's what matters. If it gets worse I would check with your local doctor.

  2. if there is any puss/ moisture leaking out see your tattoist straight away, then maybe a doctor if he thinks so, but if not then this may just be what is known as the mikl scab, a white milky looking covering over your tattoo that usually apears in week one or two of healing and falls of naturally in weeks 3, 4 or 5. however everyone is different and ive known some milk scabs to stick around for 6 or even 8 weeks. best advice? pop into see your tattooist and see what he says, if in doubt go see the expert!!! and its his work, he will be as worried about it being right and healthy as you are!!

  3. Your tattoo is infected.  Go to the doctor immediately and get antibiotics before it gets worse.  If you wait, it could go the way of staph and you don't want that.  I have a ton of tattoos and none of them ever got milky when healing.  Some of them went pretty deep and took longer to heal but if I hear milky and tattoo in the same sentence and it's not a tattoo of a carton of milk, I'm going to take preventative measures.

  4. go see your artist. It depends on how big the area is. a lot of times when a part of a tattoo is milky looking it's because the skin is still peeling right there and your having trouble healing it. If it was over a scar or stretchmark that's gonna make a difference in it too. Everyone is so quick to jump to the infection advice, but you have to keep in mind your skin took a drilling from the tattoo machine for a while during your sitting and it's gonna make your skin do funny things. especially if your not used to getting inked all the time. Go See Your ARTIST. they'll be able to tell you what's up. Chances are good that the artist had to go a little deeper there to drill in the ink (it's black ink isn't it?) to that spot and the skin is just being stubborn to heal. Also, does it just look swollen, or does it feel swollen too? You got ink on your wrist sweetie. that skin is uber sensitive and will take a while to heal  because it's constantly being twisted and stretched and rubbed against things. I suggest holding off on running to the doctor and just go see your artist and let them get a feel for the situation. It's part of what makes them the professionals and us just the collectors.

  5. Milky? Is there pus? Sounds like an infection. I'd go to the doctor so it doesn't spread or become worse.

  6. You have an infection if you are leaking discharge from a wound.. aka pus. I would get some rubbing alcohol and q-tip and clean the h**l outta that wound and I know it'll burn like h**l just bite a towel or something and then get some campho-phenique (anti-bacterial ointment liquid) it comes in a tiny yellow and green bottle and smells really strong and rub that stuff into the wound with a q-tip and that's also gonna burn like h**l and put a band-aid on the wound.
