Got an unfair ticket

Question

I was driving down a residential area. It is a 4 way stop at this paticular corner. I stopped and actually looked both directions. The police (two of them) were parked in the MIDDLE of the street to my right. I continued on and they both pulled up behind me. The first officer walked over to my car with his hand on his gun and said license, registration and insurance. So I handed it over to him. He then asked me did I want to know why he stopped me. I said yes. He stated that I didn't come to a complete stop at the stop sign. Which is B*S*. I know I stopped!!! So I told him YES I did. Then he said well the other officer was there also. He was parked behind him so how could he see anything? How could this cop say that I didn't stop at this stop sign and he was parked down a whole other street??? He gave me a ticket for this..... I am in Michigan with all these extra fees and laws now about driving. I want to know can you SUE a city for violating you????

hey today i got yelled at by a cop  today because apperently me and my friends broke a window. thats a load of bull and all u cops know it. the only reason i got stopped is cause me and my friend were running away from my other friends and then the cop asked for my name and only mine he asked us questions but he only belived  my friends but not me like i said before and like the cop said to me bull **** he verbaly abused me. ok off that topic the point is cops abuse

Can't fight the system, dude.

Just put in a 'not guilty' plea and the courts most likely will throw it out.

Well I'd say it would be your word against the two officers.. And if they did have a cam on you, there would be there proof.. SO I don't know if its worth the haslle..

And cops are like doctors you will play h**l getting anything out of them.. pay the fine and just move on..

If you believe the ticket was either issued in error or as the result of something else then you fight the ticket in court.

You may also file a complaint with the PD's IA dept if you feel you were treated unprofessionally/

Not sure why you include that the officer had his hand on his gun, or that he asked you for your license, registration and insurance...that happens on every traffic stop.

As for being "violated" usually that's something that happens to folks in prison....

As for not coming to a full stop. I have plenty of folks tell me the same thing, that they came to a full stop. That this, until they see my dash cam....

I can understand how stressful this situation must be for you. Some ideas on how to dispute the ticket on the blog spot below. If the police officer will need to present the other police officer as the witness, you have a good chance someone won't show up and you win the disputed ticket case.

yes it is bs but they could have you by the balls if your not smart,so this is what you do go to court with a lawyer and take pictures of the spot u were at and them and build your case from there and make sure the lawyer has your best interest as much as possible.

Also ask yourself this question which one is going to cost me more, going to court w a lawyer and fighting it , or paying the bs fine , or if you don' t care about money and it's about justice fight with all your heart and I wish you all the blessing in the world!!! good luck!!!!

Not much you can do about it. The judge is going to believe two cops before they believe you. I think if you ask anybody they we'll tell you they've had a ticket they didn't deserve. I know I've had quite a few.
