Got caught by speeding cameras. When can I expect the ticket in the mail?

It happened a couple hours from where I live. I live in Arizona in Flagstaff but I was on vacation in Payson and I got flashed at night time. Had NO idea the cameras were there and I actually thought I was going the limit but whatever. The speed limit was 55 and I was going anywhere between 55-58. Nothing too major. But then, the speed limit decreases to 45. Having it be so late at night and basically no lights on the sides of the road, I could not see the sign that indicated the limit changed. So, I see a big flash and I was the only car around so it got me.

This happened about 13 days ago to this day (it happened Sunday night and it is now Saturday morning - 3 am). I was talking to friends and they said it should have arrived that week. But nothing yet. Maybe I lucked out but I'm expecting something to come. When can I except and is there a certain time limit it has to arrive in otherwise it gets thrown out or what? Thanks all.

  1. Usually within 3 weeks I think, so give it another week or two then you are most probably ok.

  2. Everyone should protect themselves from these "Taxes", yes taxes, thats all they are.

I bought the phantom plate cover for my vehicles, has little pieces of metal that deflect the flash, havent had a ticket yet with them.

they are also illegal, where is the complaining witness, sitting on top of the pole?

One day they are going to throw these gadgets out & will have to refund the monies back to the people.

  3. It should have come already, that does not mean you are scott free though. If the picture was not good, if the time stamp was wrong, etc. they will not send it. Don't forget it can malfunction and if it did you will not be getting it, they have to clearly see the plate in order to ticket you. One of our drivers got one at work and we got it three days after it happened, so it looks as if lady luck may be on your side!

  4. I wouldnt worry too much about it.

    1. A good portion of those cameras are bogus. Put there to trick you.

    2. The ones that are real are usually monitored by staff. They usually understand stupid little things like that.

    3. 13 days is a pretty long time.

I have honestly run red lights and sped past those things at least 15 times and havent gotten a ticket.

  5. I am sure it will be arriving soon.  However, you don't sweat it!  You can do traffic school ON-LINE to dismiss the ticket.  I would recommend http://www.TicketRelief.com - they were quick, easy, and affordable!  Also, I completed my schooling in a day!
