Question:

Got computer serviced. Everything works well except DVD player -- won't work at all. What is cheapest fix?

Still plays CD's with music. College student service guy must have deleted something? Not sure I can track him down.

  1. its most likely just a faulty dvd drive. the cheapest fix would be to replace it. they're only about $30.


  2. Re-install the driver for your DVD player it will work .

    As it is working fine with CD audio, it will work fine with mp3 also....No issues....just reload the drivers for the dvd player and    use GOM Player for playing audio you will love its interface

  3. No if it plays CD there might not be any serious problem with the lens, but there might be some hardware changes happened in your system. Call someone who is  good in working with hardware, he might correct it.

  4. thats why u don't go to random people for a fix on a somethign pricey

    only thing to do now is like the first poster said-replace it
