I'm pretty sure a camera cought me running a red light in a busy intersection coming home earlier today. I live in student apartments and am about to move to a different apartment at the start of the fall semester. How can I know if I get issued a ticket and it arrives at my current address?

  1. if it doesnt show soon befor u leave to the other place , then u are safe , i guess !

  2. Well, it may not go to your student apartment address.  More likely, I'm assuming that you car is registered at a permanent address like your parents if you are a younger student.  The ticket if they decide to issue you one, this is not automatic by the way, would likely be sent there.

If your car is registered at the student apartments, then the ticket would come there and likely be forwarded to you at your new address, assuming you tell the post office to forward your mail.

  3. The ticket, if you get one, will go to the address on your driver's license.  If you don't update the address then you might not receive it and it could default.  Besides, it is a minor crime to have an outdated address on your DL.  Not sure how you can find out if you got a ticket, try calling your local police department and ask them who runs the cameras.

  4. If you are issued a mail-citation it will be issued to the address that appears on the registration card. Your tag number is what they go by.

  5. if it doesn't come before you move then you're most likely not going to get it.
