  1. That sucks. My parents did the same thing to me last year, it's just like, alright, I'm getting the grades and I'm still grounded? That'll probably happen again this year. You'll make it through though.

    Good Luck!! :]

  2. Sweety your parents do love you and they are showing tough love at this point because they want you to graduate and see you in a good future. The world is changing drastically and your parents are really afraid for what the future holds. But they feel as if they have this oppotunity to control you at this point, they can get you through with love and support. After your first report card if you work hard enough they will ease up on you a bit, but not entirely because they still will implemint the tough love. Try to talk to your family that you need support but if they can ease up some on the rule if you promise to work hard and the key words "you want to succeed and make them proud". You might have to prove to them your up for the challenge and really stick to your guns and accomplish. I know it's tough and there is a lot of pressure in schools with tests, exams and studying. Even seek tutoring if it helps to improve your grades. Don't be embarressed by recieving help. People do it all the time. It also shows your family that your really trying and you will appreciate the results of your success. Good Luck!

  3. they only want what is best for you. in the real world it hard trying to get a good paying job, so do your best and apply yourself. litsen to your parents. being grounded for a year is a little extreme but talk to them about that.

  4. im srry for you man. i dont think its fair but but my parents aint killing me bout my education ccause i am going into the military after high school. hope it works out some how. im sorry for you. try talkin to them bout your future plans like careers and such. maybe they are helping.

    good luck!

  5. God, your life is just soooo hard.  You have parents who care enough about your future to actually ground you to make sure you get the scholarship you need to go to school.  How dare they? That is just sooooo "parental".

I think that if you had kept up your grades throughout the first couple of years of high school, you would not have this problem right now, would you?

What is not fair is that there are kids out there who would do anything to have parents who can provide a roof over their head, who could provide food everyday and who are worried about their child's education, and those kids have to suffer while you-you ungrateful child, are whining about your parents pushing you to do well.  THAT is NOT FAIR!
