Got really drunk Monday night, still feeling bad?

I drank different wine Monday night and got really drunk, which I didn't realize I was doing. I never drink to get drunk. Of course, I threw up that night and the next morning and finally took some phenergan and felt better midday Tuesday. Now, I've got diarrhea really bad, only on certain occasions. Is it possible this is still from drinking too much or do i have a virus. I only sweat and get hot when I have the diarrhea. Otherwise, I'm running no fever and feel fine. I do have IBS, so I wonder if the wine irritated it. Any ideas?

  1. drink can cause these issues your explaining the sweating is your body purging the alcohol from your system.  Odds are your just still recovering from your drinking specially if you normally don't drink on a regular basis.... and then did it to extreme excess.

  2. Heavy drinking lowers your immune system.. May be alcohol poisoning, but most likely you have a bug caught from low immune system while drinking. Who knows where your hands were all night.

  3. LoL. Sorry I know it's not funny. But I have had and seen people with three day hang overs from drinking that much. You may have made yourself sick and yes diarrhea does occur from too much drinking even a few days later. Especially if you are not one to drink that much often. Your body is probably not used to it so it's acting against it. Drink fluids, water juice. Lots of fluids. You are dehydrated which is why you feel that hot sweat feeling. I'm not sure what IBS is but either way drinking too much does irritate your immune system.

I have drank so much one night from wine, that I felt fine when I woke up the next day. The second day I ended up a few hours later in the toilet and diarrhea. Sleep is the best way to help this and get food into your system to soak up the alcohol that my still be in your system. Wine is the worst to drink a lot from and you feel the worst hang over symptoms such as you noted for days. I'm not sure why that is.

Get some more rest and drink fluids. Try taking Imodium this will stop the diarrhea or mylanta for a sour stomach. Those two things help out greatly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Some people have a bad reaction to wine and beer. It's an allergy to the yeast. If drinking distilled liquor doesn't give you the same problem, that might be your trouble.

  5. The drink is only just working its way out of your system. So hang in there and you'll be ok tomorrow. Eat some fruit and veg in the mean time for some nutrients. Dry toast is also a good one... party hard suffer harder!!
