Got tiger woods 2006 instead of 2007 or 2008.. did i do bad/good?

Saw ratings of 2007 and 2008 and it seems like they werent so well rated as 05 and 06.. so i had 06

did i make a mistake from not getting 08?

Depends on how you look at it. Was '06 uber-cheap, like five bucks? Saved you some money right there.

I have 06 and 08 for the PC. There is not a huge difference in play between the two. I got them both for $9.99. Of course I purchased 06 some time ago and I just picked up 08 recently.

I think you will get just as much enjoyment out of either one, so you did alright. No worries.

As I am an owner of all of the games since the original in 99, I think you did great. The "equipment" in the 2008 version is some of the newer stuff, but the legends aspect of the 06 version was cool too. The 2007 version, for lack of better words, sucked. 2008 is the best so far, with 2006 a very close second. The courses in 2006 are better than the 2008, but I have 08 on the PS3, which by default makes it more realistic than the PS2 platform which I was playing 06 on. The $$ you probably soent on the 06 makes it more than a bargain. Enjoy it! You've got a winner there!

What platform are you playing? I have '06 for the PC and '07 for the Wii. I read the reviews for all the games and for the money, I felt the older ones would be just as good as the newer ones. Why pay so much for just a few changes?
