Goth question! Answer A.S.A.P.! Very important!?

Question

I am goth, and my mom and dad keep saying to stop. My mom won't wash my black clothes, so I can't wear black, and my dad is thinking of throwing out all my black clothes and makeup. What should I do? They are not mean parents, they just don't want me to look like a freak. I still want to be goth! Help!

Well maybe you and your parents can make a deal. Like you keep your clothes and loose the makeup. Or other way around.

do your own laundry

  its not that hard, all the instructions for every type of clothes is usually printed on the inside of the door.

  also, you can wear goth clothes that are not black.  i dont think you honestly know what goth really is...

  and furthermore, any self respecting goth would NOT NOT NOT proclaim themselves to be joe jonas's future wife...

I had the same problem.

Just tell them to stop acting so immature and accept the way you want to look.

It's your body, and if other people are going to judge you by the way you dress then that is good. Because it will help you find the people in the world that will be a better friend to you when they accept you.

Try telling them that you are just trying to express your self in your own way, and the way you dress wont change how you act. If they still don't like it and wont clean your stuff then just do your own laundy its really not that hard and they might like that you are taking some responsibility.

Hmmm i don't know!!Maybe you could start washing your clothes...!!

And then explain to them that Goth is not what they think it is!!

That being a Goth is not a bad thing etc....!!If that doesn't work then just keep being a Goth and don't pay attention to what they say!!If they don't get it you can't do anything else to convince them!!

compromise with ur parents.....say if u get to keep ur makeup then u'll let them throw away ur clothes, or the other way around

Well stop being a goth. What's the point? Boys don't find goths attractive. Goths look freaky. Goths aren't popular. And to be honest boys and popularity is what all teenage girls want (i'm guessing your a teenager). So... just be normal!

I guess u can just learn to do your own laundry instead of depending on them to do it. If he wants to throw your stuff out maybe hide it? Or ooo say, "I don't throw the stuff i don't like of yours out in the garbage do i?"But that might start an arguement.

idk, maybe try to make your look less intense. U can still be goth, but just not full blown goth uk?

i say tell your parents (calmly) that its your choice to be goth. say that they need to accept you for the way you are. if that doesn't work GET COUNSELING!!!!!!!
