The Borussia Dortmund midfielder has brushed aside rumours linking him with a move away from Signal Iduna Park
Borussia Dortmund midfielder, Mario Gotze, has insisted that he has no plans to leave the German champions in the near future and is willing to serve his full contract at the club. The player has been linked with a host of big
European clubs in the recent past and is reportedly being chased by the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United.
Gotze claimed that he is very happy in Dortmund and has no plans to leave the city in the near future. He insisted that the team is doing well and he sees no reason to leave the Black Yellows for any other club in Europe. The player
has a binding contract until the summer of 2016 and is willing to stay after that also.
The midfielder admitted that Dortmund are performing very well domestically and in Europe and is confident that the club will find more success in the near future.
“I feel very comfortable in the city of Dortmund where I have friends and family. That speaks volumes for BVB. My contract runs until 2016, so there's no reason for me to think about anywhere else,” he was quoted as saying in an
interview.
On the other hand, the attacking midfielder added that the Bundesliga this season is Bayern Munich’s to lose. He admitted that the Reds have a huge lead at the top and if their performances in the second half are not good, Dortmund
will have a chance. He added that his side will aim to play better in the remaining course of the season for a go at the title.
“Whether we become champions depends a lot on Bayern, on us and on the other teams. We want to win as many points as possible in the second half of the season. It's every footballer's dream to be among the best, myself included.
That should be the goal,” he concluded.
Borussia Dortmund are currently third on the Bundesliga standings table behind the likes of Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen. All teams in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 are currently on a winter break.
