The Borussia Dortmund midfielder has hailed his teammate following the 2-1 win against Werder Bremen on the opening day of the Bundesliga.
Dortmund got their new Bundesliga campaign to a winning start as they downed Werder Bremen in the game at Signal Iduna Park. Marco Reus opened the scoring for the German champions in the first-half to score his first league goal
on his debut. Gebre Selassie cancelled the opener in the second-half to put the away side on level terms.
Mario Gotze came on as a late substitute to score the winner in the dying moments of the match to claim all three points for the Black Yellows.
Gotze claimed that Reus has shown what he is capable of in the game against Bremen. He insisted that the former Borussia Monchengladbach man scored in his very first league game which is a great thing for Dortmund.
The midfielder further added that he is a very good friend of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Reus-c23733 and is delighted that the attacker has settled in so quickly at the club.
“He proved his quality from the start against Bremen. His goal was crucial, especially as it came early in the game. I'm very good friends with Marco and he's integrated into the team very quickly. Everyone gets on really well
with him. It's surely one of our advantages that new players are integrated very quickly. And I believe that you can see that on the pitch,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, Gotze admitted that he is still not fully fit and is still working hard to reach his best form. The player missed most part of the last season due to a groin injury.
“I'm not yet ready to play for 90 minutes, it's too early for that. Nevertheless, I am 100 per cent fit. The only element that's missing is match practice,” he concluded.
Mario Gotze has been tipped to shine this season after an injury filled campaign last term. The player is expected to show his true potential in this season and is expected to develop a lethal partnership with Marco Reus.
