This is referring to the law where the government has to contract out at least 50% of its work to the public.

Can someone please post me a link to where i can read the wording of this law and give me the name of the law also?

  1. I guess you mean the USA government federal. If that is the case you need the legal background to wander through the myriad of ordinances. That law sounds odd as I have never heard of it. I would check with a lawyer in that area.

  2. http://www.arnet.gov/far/authorityframe....

It is called the Federal Acquisition Regulation and it governs ALL purchasing activity by the United States Government.  There is also the DFAR the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation and they use that in the Shipyard for Department of Defense Contracts.  Whenever you see clauses listed in your Government Contract it is referring to the FAR or the DFAR or some other form of the Federal Acquisition Regulation.  I never heard it said that they had to sublet 50% of their work.  I have read this document many, many times and what it says is that they have to go out for bid to at least three contractors unless it is an item that they know in advance is SOLE SOURCE.  SOLE SOURCE means that there is NO ONE ELSE TO PROVIDE WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR.  Hope this helps.
