Government Grants that are not a scam?

can someone please give me info on this. Like a grant for buying a home or land or paying for college.

I am not sure where you live but you can apply fro the IDA savings network ( http://www.uidan.org/ )it is federally funded and they help you purchase an asset (own business, first home, or to go back to school) They will match what you save 300% up to a certian amount. non of the funds you use need to be paid back. you could also try applying for a pell grant at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ . the government does NOT give grants to individuals.  they give them to organizations.

don't pay a cent for anyone promising to direct you to gov free money.  

there ARE 'angels' that provide scholarships, grants for business investment, fellowships etc..  you must apply.
