can the government screen your phone calls at any time?

  1. Yup, and they probably screened this question too.   I wouldn't worry about but who knows, it's a possibility.


  2. Yes, and they can read your emails, and search your car and your house without telling you, and collect "evidence" and arrest you and not tell you what for, then use the evidence in a secret court to convict you, without showing you the evidence, and send you to GITMO and *not* torture you.

Technically yes they can... but keep in mind that there are million 300 people in the country, and most of them are talking as they drive.  But if I'm not mistaken, there are certain key words/phrases/people that are deemed suspicious that would trigger them looking further.  If you are having a regular conversation, then chances are you aren't being targeted.  To take it even a step further, with our intelligence, we can actually listen to peoples conversations with their phones off!  (provided the battery is still in)
