Government takeover of Hollywood for common good?

Question

Could not the government takeover the big money Entertainment industry in order to provide for the common good? Including big money sports. The actors and players get fame, the people get their money for social programs. I suppose they could still make money with commercials. Why not. With recent Supreme court decisions, it could be possible.

No way!  That is NOT the American way!  Perhaps you should go read some books.  That kind of government control has been tried else where, it doesn't work.  I cannot believe you would even suggest such a thing.

Very good idea. Hollywood generates lot`s of profits for sure. & those money could be distributed out to the public instead as it is now that only a few (those celebs) enjoys them. The government should take over hollywood & regulate/control it totally. Decide how much actors should be paid & how much of the money that should be distributed, to the public. & any actor not agreeing to it should be blocked/banned from practising his/her acting.  Ironfist control of hollywood is very much welcomed. The actors shall not think that they are something.
