has any one heard of another stimus payment to be issued and if this is true when and why. thanks

Technically, it is not a stimulus check that is being brought up. It is a energy cost "rebate." Let's hope that we do not get another stimulus check, as it is bad for America in the long run. The first stimulus check was borrowed money from China which we start repaying next year, with interest. More than likely, of the people that actually spent their check, many of them bought products that were made in China at your local discount superstores. What Obama is proposing is giving individuals a one time payment of $500, Families $1,000. Where will this money come from? A "Windfall Profits tax" on the big oil companies. Tax is a cost of doing business. If you ran a company and one of your costs just took a huge jump, what do you do? You pass the price on to the consumer. Taxing the profitable just because they are profitable is not fair and will only hurt consumers in the end.

There was some talk in congress of a round 2 but it has gone away. Obama wants to issue a $1000 per couple/$500 per individual and pay for it with a windfall profit tax on the oil companies who have made record profits for 7 years running. That will only apply if he is elected this November.
