Govt assistance in obtaining a handicap van?

Was curious if anyone knew of a govt assistance program that would help a disabled person to obtain a van that is handicap accessible...with a lift, etc?

I don't think they do, Only if you're asian and move here for the first time, they buy ya a house and a car.

If your need is related to employment, you may be able to get funding through the agency that administers the Vocational Rehabilitation program in your state.  There are other program that might also fund adaptive equipment--e.g., the VA, Medicaid, etc.  Check with a local Independent Living Services program in your area.
