Gps navigation systems?

never owned one, absolutely no clue as to how they work.

any suggestions on which i should by (and why?) -- [please include model number if possible!]

and how do they work? is there a monthly fee i will have to pay? if so, how much?

and how much do these bad boys usually run for?

  1. as stated above if you are just looking to get something from Point A to point B without all the extra features i would reccommend the NUVI 260. There are magellan and tomtom counterparts in this price range but they don't seem to work as  good as a magellan nor have the same quality of build. The nuvi 260 will have The maps of Canada and the Whole UNited States. It will also say "turn right on HIckman road" instead of saying " turn right in 200 feet". It's a great buy and you can get it for 250 at bb at the moment. If you think you'd be interested in extra features like bluetooth, real time traffic, fm transmitters give me a holler and i'll tell you what to look for.


  2. Garmin Nuvi 260.

    Features text to speech, yet it's a base model and quite cost effective.  There is a widescreen version as well.
