Gps triton 500 plzzz help, i'm so desperate ?

Question

so i put the batteries in and then i press the power button and then the load bar just loads to the end and then it just stays like that for like half an hour..plz someone know what is wrong or know what i am doing wrong

plzzzzzzz i really reallly need to kno b4 i go crazy plzzz plzz

The Magellan Triton series is known for being very troublesome.  Lockups and error screens are not uncommon.  You can try removing the batteries for a few minutes then putting them back in and starting the GPS receiver again.  The TritonForum website has many participants who may be able to help you.  The site formed after a lot of people had problems with their Triton and it seems to be more helpful than Magellan's technical support.  If it is possible, I would suggest that you return the Triton and get a different GPS receiver, preferably a Garmin.  Magellan used to be good, but in the last five years their quality has really gone downhill.
