Grad night at Disneyland, is it worth it?

So in about two weeks our senior class will be going to grad night at Disneyland in California. I've heard mixed opinions about it, from what I've seen online it looks like a blast, but from what I've heard from people that have actually gone, it's different. They say that it's too crowded and the lines are too long. Others have said it was extremely fun.I still am deciding whether or not to go, my boyfriend does not want to go with me because he says it's not worth it and it's the same thing if we just go another ordinary day at Disneyland and he refuses to go, I don't know how to convince him to go with me, I even offered to pay for his ticket if that's what was the problem but apparently it wasn't anyways if he ends up not going w/e I'll go with a bunch of friends, but before I choose to is Grad Night at Disneyland really worth it??? What's different?? Are the lines super huge???

  1. I'm 30, and when I was in SoCal recently for a business trip I went solo on one of my free days (probably my 10th time). Sure, some of the thrill of going as a kid was gone, but I was still excited about going, and I still had a great time. There's just something about exiting "the real world" for a day, and transporting to "the happiest place on earth". They do have Speed Passes now which help cut down on lines. Get there early and grab all the Speed Passes for the rides you want, then your waits will be short. Definitely go while you're still somewhat young. Trust me, you'll have a great time. And by all means, do NOT miss Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. It'll scare the bejesus out of you. And skip Indiana Jones. Long wait, boring ride. Everything else is fair game. You will be glad you did it.

  2. lol your boyfriend sure knows alot about it since he's never gone.

Its very worth it.  The lines are just the same as if you went on any other day, if not shorter.  It really is a few days of light sleeping and awesome fun and the concert at the end is the best.  I dont know who yall have but we had Yellowcard, Ciara, Ryan Cabrera and some random black rapper who wasnt big but pretty good. (this was in 2005 when yellowcard was pretty big)..

I guess let me ask you this, would you rather go and Either have a blast or have an ok time, or would you rather have not gone, not formed your own opinion and had to deal with people until graduation and beyond saying how awesome grad night was which would create sleepless nights for the rest of your life?

    just go. its fun

  3. Ok. So our senior class is going in 2 days! And let me tell you it will definatly not regret it...I have to disagree with the Idiana Jones comment, it's not boring...it's a blast!! Probably the best ride ever!!!!!!!!! Please don't listen to your boyfriend, because if you do you will end up a sad girl...especially when every one comes back and is talking about it day and night!!!!! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

  4. It is definately a blast and is no where near what an ordinary day at Disneyland is.

Go to the link below (the grad night website) and click the video and you'll see some of what you're missing if you don't go.

You might even have more fun if do you go with a bunch of friends!

Lines are shorter and all the major attractions are open.

Areas are converted into full-out clubs. They have the top DJ's there and many of the major LA radio stations including KIIS, Super Estrella, & Power.

Sometimes they have special guests and performers. This year Walt Disney World had JabbaWockeeZ from "America's Best Dance Crew". Sometimes they have Hypnotists or other fun stuff as well.

Plus at the end they have a special fireworks show that you can only see at Grad Night!

  5. Grrrrrrr my school got baned from grad night at disneyland a few years ago so now we have to go on this lame horn blower boat in San Diego so lameeee!
