Im going to grade 9 , and Im kinda nervous. Well, not really but about this one thing. Umm okay so I raelly want to be friends with some of the older kids, like the grade 11's maybe? But the thing is, ALL the older kids in my school only hang out with the "cool" and "popular" freshmen. I know cuz I went to the oreintation today, and I made some friends, but I want friends that are older, liek just to be able to say "hi" to them in the halls and stuff. And if they (the older kids) are seen hanging out with me, then they will look like losers. You know how I know??! Cuz today this grade 11 kid was giving high fives, to some people when we were lining up for this game, and then he held out his hand and i gave him a high five, then 3 other grade 11's said" why are u high fiving HER?, shes like not cool man!" then after that he wouldnt look at me! well i just want to know, what should i do!??!??

  1. wear there style , do what they do. Transform yourself into cool stage, get out of the geek body.

One thing that really made me popular, I was n 9th grade, I threw a huge party, my mom was not there of course not, my older and cooler cousins were,. Get a cool DJ that plays the cool music and good place, and drinks and stuff. If u are n uniform , modify it.

  2. Right now, you shouldn't be worrying about your "coolness".

As a matter of fact, "cool" doesn't even exist.

You just have to believe that you are perfect the way you are, and you don't need to be changing what you wear or how you act.

School is for education anyway, so if you can tell somebody off in the classroom, like demonstrating the quadratic formula when nobody else can, then that's good enough.

Don't try to hang out with those 11th graders if they're mean.

You're trying to be friends with them for all the wrong reasons.

I hope you understand what I mean, and good luck with high school :)

It's tough with all those cliques and popular people.

  3. Just be yourself, dont change up to fit in with upperclassmen nor lower classmen.

  4. I would Just be yourself..Why be friends with someone who don't like who you truly are?If they are going to be friends with you they have to know who you really are.So be yourself and introduce yourself.Have fun!
