Grade in high school.?

Question

im in sophmore year. I make all A's usually around 95...i take 4 ap classes including spanish 3 and i'm extremly exceptional in mathematics.i was commended on all the state exams and i got 98+ on every semester final exam...so why are my parents always bitchin about how bad my grades are in school? the only subject i have trouble in is english but it isnt my native language and i still make 95+ in that class. why dont my parents ever congratulate me or even show the slightest positive emotion towards my grades. every time the report card comes they always find something to ***** about and it doesnt even help me strive to do better. just makes me feel crappy and lose focus on school.

Sounds like your parents have a s***w loose.  How can you possibly do better than all A's??  Next time they comment, give them a big "DUH"....cuz they're obviously delusional!!!

I'm not sure why your parents do that, but I think it's really important for you to sit them down and tell them how its making you feel. How you're feeling is totally normal - I would feel that way too!

I'm sure it's frustrating, BUT keep in mind that your parents are probably just trying to look out for you, even though it may sound as though they express it differently.  But i'm sure they're probably really proud.

tell your parents how theyre making you feel when they do this.

Tell them to back off and that they are pushing too hard.

just succeed for yourself. s***w your parents. if they can't be proud of you for your success (good job by the way, those are awesome marks), then forget them. let them b***h and moan all they want and stand there and say I'll try harder and remember in but a few years time, you'll be super successful and be able to rub it in their faces once before you ignore them forever for being such suck a** parents.

Your parents should be rewarding your for such superior work in school.

Maybe try talking to your parents or your counselor. An average student receives a C in class. However students like you and myself we are above average. Try finding an early college program in your area. Its fun and you get 2 years of college out of the way by the time you graduate. That is if it's offered.

just keep on doing what makes you happy

your parents might be doing this because they regret not trying in school or had a hard time getting education when they were young etc, so are living their dreams through you and trying to give you everything they never had.

still no excuse for them to be doing this.

ignore them, just make yourself happy because they will never be happy. Its their problem and theyll have to deal with it soon if they dont want to end up losing you...
