  1. Tell your parents what you just said here (before they see the progress reports).  Odds are they'll be checking in with the teacher and hear the same story.

  2. Explain to them what happened and ask if your teacher can write a note to your parents explaining that you turned it in after he turned in his grades so your current grade is ___ but it didn't show up on this cardmarking.

  3. agree with everyone else, definitly tell them before they get the progress report, and suggest that they talk with the teacher.

  4. If you're trying very hard, that's all you can do. Even if they are really strict, mistakes do happen. Unless they happen a lot? Has this happened before to make them very mad about this situation?

If not, everything you said is a pretty good start about forgetting to turn in your assignment, progress reports turned in before you were able to resubmit and now you have a high "B'.

As a parent, I would want to confirm this story with the teacher and if you were getting a B, I would ask the teacher how we could resolve the progress report. I would not ground you if that were all true. But if they do, you can't do much about it and it will make you turn in your papers on time in the future or at least communicate with your parents better. Maybe they're strict because you're not letting them know what's going on. If you are working hard in school and are an honest child, as a parent, I could not ask for more.

    Good luck 2 U.

  5. Tell them to call the teacher or have them write a note.  mistakes do happen.

  6. tell them BEFORE they see it and tell them that you tried and you wre able to raise your grade. If they are really strict, you could ask your teacher to write a note or an email saying that you have raised your grade
