Scale from 1-10

QB- 9.5 (MVP QB, Brady and Peyton are the top 2 in the NFL)

RB- 8.5 (Maroney did have problems early in the year with dancing at the line, but in the second half of the year he learned to lower his shoulder and plow ahead. First Patriots since '85 to have 2 straight 100 yard playoff games)

WR- 9.5 (Simply the best Recieving core in the NFL, Stallworth only had 46 catches last year so his loss is little)

TE- 7 (Watson has all the potential in the world. He ran a 4.50 in the Combine and chased down Champ Bailey in the playoffs a few years ago. Started the '07 year with 5 TDs in 5 games. Then he was injured...again and his production dropped. David Thomas the 2nd stringer has been on the IR the last 2 years.)

O-line- 8.5 (3 probowlers, did have problems in the superbowl, but then again it was also against 3 probowlers. Say what you want about the Patriots weakeness being exposed, but with those 8 months I'm sure Billicheck fixed it)

Offense: The Best offense in NFL history is returning.

D-line- 9.5 (All 3 linemen are probowlers, Seymour is healthy again. Even their backup Jarvis Green would start on any other team.)

LB- 8.5 (Vastly improved, both OLBs Thomas and Vrable are probowlers. Jerod Mayo is the favorite to be D.R.O.Y. Bruschi is the heart and soul of the defense. Crable their 3rd round draft pick will be their platooning at OLB and had an incredible pre-season.)

DBs- 7 (This will be interesting. Hobbs doesn't seem to be #1 material, but neither did Asante "stone hands" Samuel after Ty Law left. 2nd round draft pick Wheatly has been impressive in the pre-season. Harrison is losing a step in coverage, but is still a punishing run stopper who will be subbing with Lynch. Last years 1st round pick Meriweather, is now considered sure handed and will be ready to start at FS by mid-season. Former coach of the year Dom Capers and the man who was Unaminously considered the smartest DB man in all of football is now their Secondary coach. Patriots might sign Ty Law as well.)

Defense: Look for the Patriots to lead the NFL in sacks. They were 2nd last yeaer to the Giants. The D-line is healthy and Thomas will be able to play OLB like he wants, and hopefully the pass rush will be able to make up for the somewhat secondary.

Kicker- 8.5 (Gostowski is accurate, but did not attempt a 50 yarder last season.)

Punter- 7.5 (Anything is better than Miller, who was 14 in the AFC.)

RB- 10  Tomlinson again had the leauge ebst in rushing yards AND TDs  rookie jacob hester look great in preseason and sproels is the short and speedy

WR- 9  Chambers and Rivers really clicked and jackson looked good in preseason  Nanee and davis both look good

OLine- 9 McNeill and Dielmand both proboalers... clary looked good the last half of last season  goff is the vetren that holds that line down and hardwick is still looked injured but we got newberry to fill in 4 him... too many sacks allowed

DLine- 7.5  jammal williams is comming off of a knee injury.. castillo looken gool... olshanski as goos ask ever  some of the best backups in the NFL

LBs- 9  Pro Bowler Shawne Merriman chose to play season... good or bad decision? we will find out... shaune phillips not as good as last year but still solid... cooper suspended 4 games... wilhelm still ok MLB... Derrik Smith is a hard hitting vetren

DB- 10 Most interception in NFL!  cromartie= pick machiene   Jammer= hard hitter  Clinton Hart had 4 interception last season and is gunna have very nice season  weddle first year starting saw some sparks of greatness in him last season

Kicker- 8.5 one of the most relyible kickers in the league

Punter- 9.5  great at putting the ball inside the 5 yard line

  2. Patriots

    QB- 9.5- Brady, no backup?

RB-8.5- Maroney can run if he finds the holes, Faulk, great 3rd down back and Morris, can push for the yards needed.

WR-9.5- One of the best 1-2 recieving combo, I think Gaffeny can replace Stallworth w/o a problem.

TE- 8- Watson is a solid starter and can get the job done.

OL- 9.0- They did protect Brady very well last year and will do the same again. If healthy!

DL-9.5 -One of the best DL men in the league.

LB- 9.0- Mayo will have a HUGE impact on this team, look for him in the run for ROY. The other backers are very smart and play well but are getting old. But Mayo is the difference maker here.

DB-7.0- Weakest position on the team, Harrison is old, Hobbs for #1 cb? very young corners in Wheatly and Wihalte. Merriweather better step it up!

    K-8.5- Gostowski is good

P-7.0- Remember Ken Walter? He was wayyy worst than Miller!!!

We're pretty much on the same page grading the Pats.

  3. Indy Colts

Too lazy to give separate marks so overall i would give them a 9.25

    Cons

    Too much injuries

Lack off depth at some positions

i wonder if the colts will pull off what the senators did once dungy leaves they s***w up with caldwell...but they wont with manning

    kicker too old..

    pros

one of the greatest QB to ever grace the field(arguably the best currently)

RB crew just awesome depth starter everything

WR ahh how i love them

coaching and defense just tops props to dungy and sanders

3 most important pros of all

    sanders is back

    manning is back

    dungy is back

its the colts time baby! manning aint goin nowhere but to SBXLIII and winning it

  4. New York Jets solid 8 overall

Offensive line is a 9.5 with their new additions of Faneca and Woody. Mangold is a great Center as well.

QB is a 9 Favre is great and the most resilient player in NFL history but he's what 2 years away from 40? he has 2 years left in the tank as a solid starter but that is most likely it.

RB Thomas Jones and Leon Washington get a 7.5. Jones is good hasn't been nearly as productive as he was in CHI. Washington is a great fast player but never gets a chance. Kinda like Josh Boone of the NJ Nets if your a basketball fan.

WR 9.25 Lav Coles and Jerricho Cotcery are 2 of the top 10 underrated receivers in the league. Cotchery is consistent every game with catches and Coles is a fast deep threat (well when Pennington isn't throwing to him) I expect a stellar season with these 2 guys in at WR.

Jets defense 6. They let Jamal Lewis break 5 tackles on them last season. I know kids on my highschool team that can wrap players up better than the Jets in some situations. I question the Jets ability to tackle empty garbage cans at times. Kerry Rhodes is a smart young safety and I love the addition of Calvin Pace. Those are the 2 solid players on D and thats it.

  5. Team: Chicago Bears

QB- 6.5 Anybody wanna lend us a QB?

RB-  7.5 Forte looks like a good everydown back but concerns about experience and Kevin Jones injury proneness.

WR- 7 One of the worst WR core in the NFL but no worries, i found a perfect play for the bears. OK so Orton takes the snap, turns around and thrown the ball backwards 40yrds. Hester, who is ready to recieve it, catches and takes it for a score. MARVELOUS!

TE- 8.5 Clark and Olsen are two good TE's and i like the look of Kellen Davis in preseason

O-line- 5 Im not even going to start the 5 page list of problems

Offense: Three words : Room For Improvement

D-line-  9 Alex Brown and Adedwale can still do it and we have Tommie Harris back from injury so we should get some sacks

LB- 9.5 Best in the league? Maybe with Briggs and Urlacher and , in my view, a very underrated Hillenmayer (probably because he is overshadowed by the best ROLB and MLB in the league)

DBs- 8.5 On paper, the only weak part is SS. Tillman and Vasher are up there in the leagues best cornerback combo. Although big problems in preseason, should be sorted by starter

Defense: Looks good but plaed shocking against the 49ers, though when the colts come around on starting day, everything will be right as rain.

Kicker: Robbie Gould - Good kicker and has saved us many of times.

Punter-  Brad Maynard is ... does aybody really care?! ill give him 7.5

Overall, Offense Needs help, defense is good and special team is good. NOW WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE KICK TO HESTER!!!!!!

  6. DALLAS COWBOYS: A++++++ OR 20

    :

    PATRIOTS: F- OR -12

  7. 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999...

  8. Best offense in history don't make me laugh, the giants pounded you guys last year, 14 points on what was not even considered the best defense of 2007? ha..

  9. QB-8

DAvid Garrard NEVER Turns The Ball Over.

    RB's-9

Freddie T and MJD Are Beasts Along WIth FSU's own Greg Jones

    WRs-7

We Are 1 Reciever Away From Greatness.

    TE-8.5

Mercedes Lewis Iis gonna be in beast mode this year.

    Overall-8

  10. Raiders

QB - 7.5 (Strong armed QB who is smart and mobile.)

RB - 10 (One of the best baCKfields in the NFL)

WR - 7 (It all depends how Javon Walker will do because Ronald Curry will be solid like always and Drew Carter is gone.)

TE - 9 (Great hands and a good bloCKer, he is JaMarcus Russell's favorite target.)

    O-line - 7 (Great run-bloCKing O-line, still has problems in pass protecting.)

D-line - 9 (DerriCK Burgess is one of the best pass rushers in the NFL and Tommy Kelly along with run stopper Terdell Sands will hold the middle.)

LBs - 9.5 (Thomas Howard led all linebaCKers in interceptions and Kirk Morrison has led the Raiders in taCKles two seasons in a row.

CB/S - 10 (Best secondary in the league.)

K/P - 10 (Pro bowler Shane Lechler and Sebastion Janikowski who has the strongest leg in the league.)
