I want to homeschool, but I don't really know how to go about it, my parents think I need to take classes and get credit or Ill go nowhere in life. I would love to just take all college classes at a community high school next year (junior). Is this possible? I have a 4.0. Can I take the GEDs or whatever and count that as graduation, and then will I have to take the ACT or SAT before doing college stuff?

  1. Do you have enough credits to graduate? Have you taken American History yet? You can go to high school in the morning and college in the afternoon - that is perfectly possible.

  2. YEA. BUT Y WOULD U WANT A GED IF U GOT A 4.0   O WHAT YOUR A JUINOR. WELL d**n JUST GRADUATE EARLY THATS WHAT I WOULD DO. sorry i just realized i worte in all caps. im sorry.

  3. Ok if you wanna be homeschooled there is the best place to go you toatlly get good grades I used to have all F's then I came to VCS Virtual community school now I have all A's if you want just go on the internet and look up VCS Ohio and I bet there will be another VCS's in your state

    GOOD LUCK

  4. I went to regular classes during the normal school year and did self-paced home school for 2 summers. I graduated in 3 years, went to college and have a successful career.

You need to check with your school for an approved home school system, or they may not accept the credits.

  5. I have never heard of any community college that requires students to take a test before admitting them.  I could see it happening, but I have never experienced it.  I was homeschooled K-12 as were most of my friends.  My friends and I all attended classes at the community college during our high school years.  Because most every college requires certain gen ed classes for every dergree (English 110, Biology 101, College Algebra, etc) it is a great idea to get these out of the way during high school.  That way, when you get to college you can focus on your core classes.  That is what I did and it was one of the best things I have ever done.  Take your gen eds at the community college, and then supplement your education with fine arts/liberal arts classes either at your home or elsewhere.

  6. If you want you can take college classes while in high school all they would have you do is take entry test if you go to a community college.  It would be better if you jsut graduate form high school because if you just get your ged people for some reaosn look down on you and i don't know why it is just as good as graduating form high school but you should just enroll at you local community college cause it will help you in the long run in life

  7. American School is a homeschooled High school Accredited course.  You can choose what you need based on your credits already.  They have curriculum for those planning College.  There phone number is 708-418-2800.   They send you everything and for 4 full years of high school its about 1000.00 dollars.  Its less for less years.  You can make monthly payments too.  Call them andf ask for their information and enrollment package.  Enrollment is very painless.  I know lots of my friends who children graduated from American school.  They are based in Lansing, Illinois.

    I hope this helps.
