Graduate teacher training programme

Im currently doing a degree in health psychology and sociology and finish this time next year. I have applied to my local primary school and they have offered me an interview in september. Has anyone dont the GTTP and could tell me what its like and how they test you ect???

  1. I am a teacher and have a Masters Degree, but I think your GTTP is specific to your country.  Also, an interview is just that, not so much a test.  They will ask you some specific questions on areas you should be familiar with in the classes you would teach (Psychology, Sociology, etc.), but they will also want to see how you do under pressure, what you might do in a mock classroom environment, and how you communicate with the Panel.  They will also likely ask you something along the lines of "How would you make something better in the classroom environment", or how you would handle a specific situation in a mock scenario.  Good luck.
